4. Atom is permeable for electron and is impermeable for α-particles

Volume of the crystal atom consists of spherical particles - neutrons and protons, between which there are voids readily accessible for bombarding electrons, but inaccessible for α-particles. α-particles can only come through the voids between the atoms which form the lattice of a solid body.
